Over 30,000 prehistoric adventurers attend The Square’s DINOLive summer exhibition


The Square Camberley recently welcomed their very own prehistoric adventure, seeing over 30,000 shoppers attend the animatronic exhibition from Thursday 25th July right through to Sunday 1st September.

The free event welcomed bundles of roar-some fun for shoppers of all ages, with a total of six animatronic dinosaurs waiting to be discovered throughout the summer holidays.

Camberley’s finest explorers started off their journey by picking up a trail-guide from The Square’s Customer Service desk, seeing 1,500 children use the leaflet to help navigate around the centre and track down the impressive dinosaurs.

Families were also invited to fill out the fact-finding dinosaur questionnaire within the leaflet, seeing those who completed the questionnaire correctly win a dinosaur stationary bundle and be automatically entered into a free prize draw to win £100 gift card to spend at the centre.

The Square also ran their very own social media competition – giving shoppers the chance to win a £100, £75 or £50 The Square gift card. The competition saw over 600 shoppers stop off at the designated dinosaur egg selfie zone and upload their selfie onto the centre’s social media channels using the hashtag – #dinolivecamberley.

If that wasn’t enough roar-some fun, The Square offered a host of other dinosaur related activities to keep mini palaeontologists entertained.

These included excavation workshops, creative storytelling, dinosaur pottery sessions, arts and crafts and exclusive Geology workshops with Surrey Heath Museum’s resident Geologist.
