The artificial turf pitch facilitates a higher standard of play than a traditional all-weather pitch, lessening any potential for injuries. These surfaces are termed 3rd Generation Pitches (3G) and provide a longer artificial grass blade and rubber crumb base which more accurately reflects the roll and bounce of natural grass.
