Following on from 2017’s record breaking panto, ‘Peter Pan’, Camberley Theatre are delighted to announced that the classic, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, will be entertaining the good people of Camberley and beyond in December 2018.
Looking at the postcodes from ticket purchasers in 2017, customers travelled from as far and wide as Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and London along with all corners of Surrey to see Camberley’s famed panto last year.
‘Peter Pan’ grossed over £16,000 more than the theatre’s previous best seller, 2016’s ‘Cinderella’, with 13, 174 tickets sold. Enough to cover 20 football pitches!
Cllr Valerie White, the Mayor of Surrey Heath said, ‘I would just like to say that Peter Pan at Camberley Theatre is one of the best pantos I’ve seen. Camberley Theatre pantos just get better and better. The opening night was amazing and judging by the noise from the audience a great time was had by all.’
Exciting news as 2018 will see Robert Pearce returning as the dame in ‘Sleeping Beauty’ – Robert won plaudits galore both in the media coverage and on the theatre’s social media platforms as the hilarious Mrs Smee in ‘Peter Pan’.
Running from December 10 to the 31st, tickets for ‘Sleeping Beauty’ are on sale now and are available via the theatre website or by calling in at or phoning the theatre box office.
Schools’ performances run on 10, 11, 13, 14, 17 and 18th December.
On December 28 at 1pm there will be a performance with a BSL signer which will have no pyrotechnics, loud noises and feature softer lighting making it ideal for younger families or those with autism and special needs.
