‘Camberley, Be Inspired, Discover more. Camberley has a lot to offer now and it’s getting even better’

Surrey Heath Borough Council has installed new artwork on the A30 to showcase Camberley Town Centre and the regeneration work that is now fully underway.

Karen Whelan, CEO, Surrey Heath Borough Council said; “Camberley has always been a fantastic place and SHBC is making a significant investment in the town centre to ensure it remains a great location to live, work, shop and socialise.

Our current key regeneration areas include The Square shopping centre, which is being extensively refurbished, the High Street which has been awarded a grant from Enterprise M3 LEP to greatly improve the road and pavements, we are also running a scheme to enhance shop fronts; and Ashwood House, a former office block which will be transformed into high quality residential accommodation. In addition, the London Road block – which is the area of the A30 at the top of town next to the High Street, is currently undergoing feasibility studies for a new development.”

Cllr Moira Gibson, Leader of the Council added; “Ensuring Camberley Town Centre remains a dynamic and progressive place is a key objective of SHBC. We want to ensure we protect the economic future of Camberley for our residents and business owners. Camberley is a great town and easy to access from neighbouring areas. We want the popularity of Camberley Town Centre to continue by creating a modern and attractive place which builds on Camberley’s heritage. Refreshing this artwork is a great opportunity for us to advertise the fantastic work that is taking place in Camberley.”
