Jack Wills, one of Britain’s quintessential fashion brands, opened the doors of its new Surrey store at The Square Camberley on Friday 19th October.
The new store that occupies approximately 2,300 sq ft and is situated in the prime location of the main square, saw hundreds of shoppers visit over the first weekend of its opening.
Known for its high quality, heritage-inspired wardrobe classics, the announcement and opening of such a prestigious brand as Jack Wills is testament to the extensive multimillion pound refurbishment programme currently underway at The Square.
The Square’s refurbishment programme which is set to launch in time for the busy Christmas shopping period will deliver substantial improvements to the shopping centre, including new flooring, facades and lighting – ultimately creating a fresh contemporary space.
Councillor Richard Brooks, Deputy Leader, Surrey Heath Borough Council said: “It’s been great working alongside Jack Wills’ Directors to bring this store to Camberley and we’re feeling really positive about what the future holds driving towards our vision of creating Camberley as thriving town centre with a dynamic retail heart, stimulating leisure and cultural facilities and an outstanding experience for our residents and visitors.”
Karen Whelan, CEO, Surrey Heath Borough Council said: “It’s fantastic to see such a prestigious brand as Jack Wills arrive at The Square and we’ve been delighted with the local community’s reaction to the highly anticipated opening of the store. The current redevelopment programme, driven by SHBC has proved to be fundamental in attracting Jack Wills and we hope to bring many more popular retailers and brands to Camberley.
Neil Beaman, Property Director, Jack Wills said: “We’re very excited about opening in Camberley and The Square is the perfect location for our store. We’ll be in good company alongside other quality brands so our customers will have a fabulous shopping experience.”
The opening will coincide with the completion of the latest phase of The Square’s refurbishment and Camberley’s fantastic programme of Christmas events.
