The Square Camberley are partnering with Mrs Pott’s Place to hold two arts and crafts workshops this autumn, supporting Poppy Appeal 2018.
Mrs Pott’s Place will be hosting poppy themed arts and crafts for the whole family to take part in. On Saturday 27th October, families can create a glass fused poppy; perfect decoration for the home. On Saturday 10th November, craft your own hand sewn felt poppy brooch, just in time to wear for Remembrance Sunday. These events will be held between 11am – 1pm, and 2pm – 4pm. All events are free, however a suggested donation will be asked, with all funds going towards the Royal British Legion.
Joana Santos, Marketing Manager at The Square, says: “Once again, we are very excited to be working in collaboration with Mrs Pott’s Place to run these arts and crafts sessions for our Poppy Appeal 2018. In the past, these workshops have been incredibly popular, and it is wonderful to see so many children getting creative and having fun. The Poppy Appeal is a fantastic cause, and we are delighted to be doing our part to support here at The Square Camberley.”
This year will be the fifth annual Camberley Poppy Day with the Camberley Branch of the Royal British Legion, taking place throughout the town on Saturday 27th October. Cadets and volunteer collectors will be visiting stores and offices in Camberley, offering Poppies all day and raising funds for past and present military personnel.
David Kemp BEM, Chairman of the Camberley Branch Royal British Legion, says: “The generosity and support from the Camberley public has always been exceptional. In 2017, Camberley raised over £56,000, and we are hoping to meet that target again this year.”
